Gamepad controller
Left stick or D-pad: smooth left/right steering. RT/R2: accelerate. LT/L2: brake. B/Circle: boost. A/Cross: use your collected item. The same controls work with any rider on every track, if your browser supports the connected controller.
On a phone
Your okada accelerates by itself. Choose BUTTONS or TILT steering from the main menu. In Tilt mode, physically tilt your phone left or right to steer. A small wheel in the bottom-left corner turns with your steering so you can see what the bike is doing. Boost, Item and Brake stay on screen. Turn your phone sideways for the best view.
Power-ups
Ride through a glowing green square to collect one random power-up. Watch the ITEM slot: it spins briefly, then shows what you won. Press ITEM (phone), E/Shift (keyboard), or A/Cross (controller) to use it. Each new square gives a different reward from your previous one. If you already have an unused item, collecting another square replaces it. These are abilities, not automatic points; each collected box also counts toward your end-of-race coin reward.
Street smarts
- Drive through the glowing green boxes to grab a power-up.
- Hold accelerate just before GO for a perfect start.
- Potholes, puddles and speed bumps slow you down. Danfos, kekes and the BRT bus will knock you sideways.
- The dirt beside the road is slow. Stay on the tar.
- Hit a wall? Steer away from it. If you stay stuck against it, the okada is set back onto the road automatically and keeps its place in the race.
- Riders at the back get the stronger power-ups, so no race is over until the finish line.
- Finish in the top 3 to complete a city and unlock the next: Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Enugu, Jos, then Port Harcourt.
- Abuja: ride over the green EXPRESS arrows. Kano: dust storms hide the road. Enugu and Jos: gravity pulls you downhill, so brake before the bends. Port Harcourt: wet roads make the okada slide.
- Earn coins by finishing, winning, racing clean, collecting power-ups, beating your best time and claiming the daily reward. Spend them in the Garage.
- After a race, tap CHALLENGE A FRIEND to send your time. They race the same city and try to beat it.
